Just a quick update.
Was supposed to do the Yoga X dvd last night, made it through 15 minutes and pulled a muscle in my side. Ouch. So I stopped doing that and did another 10 mins with the cardio and called it a night. Not my best night obviously, but at least I did SOMEthing. I'll be replacing Yoga with cardio for now on. Pulling muscles hurt.
I'll see when I get there.

Hey Look, Day 3 Finished! [Cardio X]
Yaayy I've made it past day 3! I didn't realize until I opened up my workout schedule that the Cardio X dvd was actually supposed to have been done yesterday and the Shoulders/Arms/Abs dvd was supposed to have been done today. But I figure that little goof won't actually mess me up. I'll just make sure to fix it next week.
So the Cardio X workout was actually pretty nice. I sweat like crazy. Probably more than I've sweat in the past year combined. But somehow, it was easier than day 1 (I sweat a lot less on day one, and was more sore than today). I feel pretty gross after sweating this much, so I'm definitely taking a shower after I finish writing this. I think I'm going to invest in a cloth measuring tape. I don't even know what my starting measurements were. Well, not exact measurements. But it was something like 38-29-38.5. Close to it anyway.
I was also thinking that I might add Pilates to my workout schedule as it helps keep me flexible and limber, but haven't decided yet. I was about 50-60 lbs heavier last time I did that! Anyway, I'm going to end this here for today. And look, I wrote it before 5am. :)

Day 2 is DONE. [Shoulders & Arms, Ab Ripper x]
I was so not wanting to work out tonight. I took my daughter trick-or-treating and it wore me out. But I ended up doing it anyway. My arms are killing me. And my stomach muscles are very sore. I'm glad I finished it, though. The arm/shoulder workouts required weights, so I just took a couple bottles and filled them with water. Those worked well enough since I don't have much muscle in my arms.
I somehow managed to rugburn my knees and rub raw the skin on my right elbow. But I think I did the elbow thing yesterday. It hurts. D:
Today I ate around 1350 calories, give or take. I only ate a small amount of Halloween candy. Probably 300-400 worth of the calories consumed. Probably less, but I added a larger amount just in case. My muscles ache. I hope I can continue tomorrow! Somehow gotta make myself do it. Seriously want to lose this weight.
Well, I'm not sure why, but I always manage to end up typing these up at 4-5am. I'm gonna try to fix my sleep schedule and write these earlier.. Eventually lol. Sleepy time for me. Good night, good morning, and see you again soon.

Day 1! "Core Synergistics"
Okay, so it's 4.53am and I just finished the first video "Core Synergistics." I seriously need to get a bigger workout area! Trying to do all these things (Especially lunges or full body stretches) in a tiny little bedroom is pretty ridiculous lol. Anyway, I started out okay. Everything was good, started to get a little tired by the 25-minute mark, but it wasn't so bad. Then we had to do push-up style exercises. And omg, I lost it. Push ups are my very worst type of exercise. I have pretty much no upper body strength. If lifting more than 5 lbs is a challenge for me, how the heck am I supposed to support a 160 lb body? Aaah!
I tried my best. I couldn't do all the reps that were showed, but I did enough to feel a definite workout, so I'm not totally let down about that part. All in all, this video was harsh for an exercise beginner like me, but I made it through the whole hour. I'm feeling pretty sore all over now (Especially the muscles in my upper back), but that's not so bad. At least I know it's working! However, my left knee started to hurt around 40 minutes in. I have bad knees, so I'm going to be paying close attention to this. I'm hoping this is just typical wear and tear that will get stronger over time 'cause I really don't want a bad knee messing up my workout schedule. :p
Well, 5am now. Oh I forgot. Happy Halloween! Today I'm painting my face up as a white tiger and taking my daughter (who is a Bengal tiger) out trick or treating. Time to sleep and let my body rest. See you tomorrow. :)

So I guess I'm trying this out.
I've acquired the p90x full workout guide, videos, etc and really want to lose this extra weight. I've never really been able to follow-through with a long-term workout program, so I'm not guaranteeing I'll actually finish this to the end, but hopefully writing about it will give me a decent idea. I'll be starting it on Sunday (10/30/11) because that's when my week starts. It'll be easier to keep track that way. This post is to basically outline what I'll be doing.
I'm going to do (or try anyway) the p90x Lean workout program while maintaining my current eating habits. This is an intense workout apparently (I've skimmed the videos as well and it looks pretty hard), but I'm going to try my best. I don't normally workout, so I figure I'm going to be dead (figuratively) after a day or two lol. But yeah, I'm going to take a couple "before" pictures tomorrow and upload them so that way when I reach the 1, 2, and 3 month marks, I'll be able to see if I made progress. I'm pretty excited about this actually. And I'm never excited about exercising! Haha.
Oh yeah, might as well post my stats.
I'm 5'7 3/4" (so let's say 5'8").
21 years old and female.
I currently weigh 163 lbs.
My highest recorded weight was 256 lbs at my last doctor weigh-in while pregnant with my daughter.
And I hope to be around 120-130 by the end of the 90 days (however I'd be happy with less, too).
What I'd like to gain out of this is higher self esteem and confidence, a body I can love and that my boyfriend can love (though he says he does already, not that I don't believe him; I just think we'd both be happier with my ideal body), and more physical strength and overall healthfulness.
Happy Saturday. I'll see you tomorrow. :)
